Chesapeake Bay Day

The Coalition and its members will gather again to meet with members of Congress and their staff to advocate for clean water policies and investments throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed.

2026 Choose Clean Water Conference

The Coalition is headed to Lancaster, Pennsylvania for the 2026 Choose Clean Water Conference! As America celebrates its 250th birthday, the conference will explore the theme, “The Pursuit of Clean Water.” We are excited to connect with fellow advocates and explore how we can capitalize on the tools, resources, and connections to make a difference for clean water.

Storytelling Training Series

Telling engaging and impactful stories is critical in our work for clean water. Whether advocating for pressing policies, seeking volunteers for a restoration event, or making an appeal for support to potential donors, sharing a powerful story is paramount to success. With support from the Chesapeake Bay Funders Network’s Capacity Building Initiative as administered by the Chesapeake Bay Trust, we are excited to host a training series to help our member organizations become better storytellers.

Workgroup Shifts

Two Coalition policy priorities will receive a refresh with the TMDL Workgroup becoming our Water Quality Workgroup and Energy Workgroup transitioning to our Land Use Workgroup. The former change is to better reflect the comprehensive nature of our work on Water Quality and the latter will broaden our energy-focused work by exploring a landscape-level look at trends in land use across the region.

The Coalition has many more projects in the works for 2026. These include continuing our advocacy for the Bay restoration effort through the implementation of the revised Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement, organizing our member organizations to educate and equip their members to vote for clean water, and growing our team by welcoming a new Digital Media Intern.
