Water Quality
It’s at the heart of what we do—improving water quality throughout the Chesapeake Bay region. The rivers and streams that feed the Chesapeake Bay are integral to communities in the region. With clean water, economies thrive, public health is protected, and our way of life is secure.
The Water Quality Workgroup is focused on ensuring the Chesapeake Bay states and EPA:
Continue to make progress toward the Chesapeake Bay Total Maximum Daily Load (TMDL),
Have adequate resources to track and monitor water quality, and
Are addressing the effects of toxins to wildlife and human health.
With the revised Chesapeake Bay Watershed Agreement, we are focused on achieving the goals in the Agreement and working with all stakeholders to ensure all cleanup goals are met and states and municipalities are equipped to succeed.
Water Quality Workgroup
The goal of the Coalition’s Water Quality Workgroup is to ensure the partners within the Chesapeake Bay Program continue to make progress toward their clean water goals for the benefit of local water quality and living resources throughout the Bay region.
