Choose Clean Water Coalition 2027-2028 Leads Request for Proposals
The Choose Clean Water Coalition is seeking proposals for two-year Coalition Leads. The Coalition intends to fund State Leads in Maryland, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia and Engagement Leads in Delaware and New York. State Leads are funded at $25,000 per year and Engagement Leads are funded at $10,000 per year.
In collaboration with our Coalition Leads we help to build the internal capacity of our members to achieve their missions, as many of these organizations are small nonprofits who may otherwise not have the capacity to participate in larger campaigns. By working with our Coalition Leads, the Coalition not only brings our members together, but provides them with the resources that they need to be successful in implementing coordinated strategy, such as communications and outreach support.
If your organization wants to be considered for the role of Coalition Lead for 2027-2028, please submit your application by November 1, 2026 to Sara Ramotnik at ramotniks@nwf.org.
Applications Are Now Open for YPC’s 2027 Cohort!
The Choose Clean Water Coalition’s Young Professionals of the Chesapeake (YPC) Mentorship Program aims to help early career professionals working in the environmental field achieve their career goals while addressing the workforce gap within the Chesapeake Bay restoration movement. This program provides mentorship and professional development opportunities to support the retention of young professionals in the region by tackling the structural barriers they face.
Going into its eleventh year, YPC offers tailored mentorship and trainings to young professionals eager to advance their careers and helps mentors strengthen their leadership skills. This unique partnership builds stronger relationships among clean water advocates and fosters a stream of diverse leaders committed to advancing watershed goals throughout the region.
Running from January to December 2027, we are looking for both mentors and mentees and welcome individuals regardless of if they are with a Coalition member organization. Apply by Monday, November 23, 2026, at 5:00 p.m. and join the 2027 cohort!
