Choose Clean Water Coalition Applauds Announcement of Hilary Falk as Next President of Chesapeake Bay Foundation

(ANNAPOLIS, MD)—Today, the Chesapeake Bay Foundation announced Hilary Falk will serve as its next President and CEO. In response, Choose Clean Water Coalition Director Kristin Reilly issued the following statement:

"We are thrilled to learn Hilary Falk will serve as the next President and CEO of the Chesapeake Bay Foundation (CBF). Having served as the founding Director of the Choose Clean Water Coalition, Hilary understands and values the need for collaboration among the many organizations working to protect and restore the Chesapeake Bay and its rivers and streams. With CBF as a critical player in the Bay restoration effort, Hilary's experience, dedication to clean water, and deep commitment to equity and justice makes her ideally suited to this influential role.

"As Chief Program Officer at the National Wildlife Federation, Hilary demonstrated incredible leadership and expertise expanding partnerships and strengthening relationships within and outside of the Federation. This experience is very valuable, given the collaborative nature of the Chesapeake Bay restoration effort. Due to Hilary's previous role as Director of the Coalition, I have benefited greatly from Hilary's leadership and counsel. We look forward to continuing to work with Hilary in the years to come to advance our shared clean water goals with an eye toward building a more equitable and inclusive Bay restoration movement.

"We also want to take this opportunity to thank Will Baker, CBF's outgoing President and CEO, for his contributions to clean water throughout the Chesapeake Bay watershed. As a member of the Coalition's Steering Committee, CBF plays an important role in our collaborative efforts, and we look forward to continuing our close partnership under Hilary's leadership. There is no time to waste if we are going to leave a legacy of clean water to future generations."

The Choose Clean Water Coalition is an organization that harnesses the collective power of more than 260 local, state, regional, and national groups to advocate for clean rivers and streams in all communities in the Chesapeake region.
