At this meeting we will look at how we can stem the loss of forests throughout Maryland and look at policies in the state to conserve and preserve forests in Maryland, not just restore them. This meeting will be the first meeting of the minds since the Forest Conservation Act Task Force stalled in the Maryland House of Delegates during this year's legislative session. (Thank you all for your hard work around the forest conservation act last session!) 

Now that he summer is coming to a close, let's circle back up the wagons and see how we can build momentum towards victory next year. At this meeting we will look at potential avenues and policies as well as start to organize grass roots efforts, grass tops coordination, and ways to find nontraditional partners.

This meeting is intended for advocacy groups, members from nonprofits and community leaders interested in forest conservation policy.  This will take the place of one of the 'Choose Clean Water Regional Meetings' we typically hold each year.
