FRAC Act Letters
Please find below versions of the letter that members of the Choose Clean Water Coalition recently sent to Senators and Members of Congress in the Marcellus Shale region of New York, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Maryland, West Virginia, Virginia, and the District of Columbia urging their support and co-sponsorship of the FRAC Act or thanking them for their co-sponsorship.
The Fracturing Responsibility and Awareness of Chemicals Act or FRAC Act is priority legislation for Choose Clean Water Coalition as we seek to protect communities from the impacts of gas drilling. The FRAC Act would require the disclosure of chemicals used in the process of hydraulic fracturing in the Marcellus Shale as well as provide federal oversight of the process by restoring the protections of the Safe Drinking Water Act.
